Dan's recollection: We met at the beach over the summer and I'm lucky I stayed a 5th year at Lehigh because we became best friends living off campus that following year. I asked her to come to Target with me one day, which she thinks was our first date, but I'd like to think it was the time I asked her to dinner a couple weeks later. We're a great team and love building stuff together, like the table and dresser in our apartment. On the day I moved in, I asked her to marry me in the park. I spent weeks sneaking around to get a ring without her knowing but because she's such a bloodhound, she knew it was coming! I can't wait to tie the knot because, most importantly, I have someone who will laugh at my stupid jokes.

Sam's recollection: We met at a mutual friend's beach house one summer down at the Jersey shore.  We shared bunkbeds in one of the rooms and he snored like a foghorn all night (and mysteriously hasn't snored since.)  When we got back to Lehigh in the Fall he asked me on a date to a popular sushi restaurant, following up with "Is it cool if I pay with a giftcard my grandma gave me?"  A few weeks later I came over to his house to find a duct-tape holder for my chapstick fashioned to the wall next to the bed; I was smitten.  Four and a half years later he got down on one knee in Washington Square Park and I said yes.  But mostly to get free back rubs for life.
